Tip of the Day: Where are my user preferences stored?
February 9th, 2007 by Luc-Eric - Viewed 2319 times - Popularity: 7% [?]To figure out from where XSI is loading your user preference from, look in File|User Preference, choose “Data Management” and scroll down to “File/Project Locations”. “User Path” is what you’re looking for.
To change it, you must edit the setenv.bat batch file used to start XSI. You can do this with the “UserTools” utility in the Softimage|XSI program group. Pick “SetEnv.bat” and click Edit. Change XSI_USERROOT.
